This blog will probably be mostly about software development (ruby and javascript). In the meantime, here is a picture of my dog.

          Yeah, while the ruby community is awesome and have had a ton of positive influence on modern web development and how shit is built, the sort of cavalier attitude toward security and stability has pushed me back toward the python community.

          The python community adopts the best ideas from the ruby community but with a much slower, safer approach. A greater concern for best practices, security and stability and the idea that there is one best way to do something and that’s the way you should do it (the polar opposite of PHP) jibes with me.

          Now that the Python community has caught up, everything but the community values are about the same. Rails itself still has an edge but otherwise the language, frameworks and tool chains are on par with each other.
